Experience overview

What to expect

This double-delight trip starts as soon as you arrive at St. Elizabeth Parish and Black River. Take a short boat ride to the world-renowned Pelican Bar. Made of driftwood, and stilted on a huge sandbar so it appears to float in the middle of the Caribbean Sea, Pelican Bar is one of the most unique bars you’ll ever encounter. The décor is one of a kind and decorated with relics from visitors from many parts of the world. Don’t forget to bring something personal to leave behind for the memorabilia collection! Take a refreshing swim in the shallow turquoise waters, or sunbathe and relax while you have an ice-cold Red Stripe beer. Here you can experience a truly local atmosphere. While a number of pelicans are seen perched on the reefs, if you’re lucky you can even catch sight of stingrays and dolphins frolic nearby.

After Pelican Bar, board your ride to Black River, one of the longest rivers in Jamaica, for a late lunch by the riverside. From here, we drive you through the lush countryside to the town of Negril, also known as the capital of casual. Lined with miles of sandy white beaches and calm crystalline waters, Negril breathes hippie vibes, and is the location of the second highlight of this trip – Rick’s Café.

Rick’s Café, a bar and restaurant, has been voted as one of the ‘Top 10 Bars in the World’. Sitting on the top of a 35-foot high cliff, Rick’s Café overlooks the sea and boasts some of the most mesmerizing sunsets in the world. It is also an ideal spot for cliff-diving. If you’re brave at heart and feeling adventurous, jump and dive from the cliff into the cool and refreshing deep blue waters below. Or you can just sit on the edge of the cliff side vantage and watch thrill-seeking local Jamaicans show off their diving talent.
